Solutions from Double-Take Software
Double-Take Software
Pinnacle Business Systems and Double-Take Software can provide your organization with continuous data protection and ensure minimal data loss and immediate recovery from any disaster or system outage. Double-Take Software uses patented replication and failover technology which continuously catches byte-level changes as they happen and duplicates those changes to one or more target servers at any location. Double-Take lets you recover from your target servers in minutes, if not seconds, in the event of a disaster.
Host-based Double-Take delivers better protection than many hardware-based solutions, and it costs tens of thousands less. Start with as few servers as you like, scale organically as your data requirements grow, and get fast and continuing return on your investment.
Quickly restore access to data and applications
Double-Take can immediately reassign the source server ID to a target server when disaster strikes. You're up and running again in minutes, with minimal or no loss of data and productivity.
Replicate over any distance to any location
Double-Take works over any distance using your existing IP networks. Locate your target server as far away as you would like to ensure maximum protection against outages or disasters.
Don't sacrifice performance for protection
Double-Take uses the absolute minimum bandwidth required to back up your data by replicating only the bytes that change. Plus, powerful advanced features let you control bandwidth usage and queue data changes for replication during off-peak usage times.
Protect your existing investments
Double-Take is server, storage, and network independent - it works with the applications you have today and will work with whatever best-of-breed hardware and software you need tomorrow.
GeoCluster
Double-Take Software GeoCluster lets you implement MSCS clusters without shared storage or geographic restrictions - eliminating the single point of failure, and giving you the freedom to locate cluster nodes wherever you want. A software approach encouraged by Microsoft, GeoCluster provides the technology and flexibility you need to ensure maximum availability for the lowest possible cost.
Eliminate the single point of failure
MSCS requires that you maintain clustered disk resources on a single, shared disk subsystem; due to this, your entire cluster goes down if your subsystem fails. GeoCluster maintains a separate copy of the data on each member of the cluster, therefore eliminating this single point of failure.
Leverage existing storage hardware
There's no reason to purchase additional, MSCS-certified storage hardware to set up your cluster - you can use the hardware you already own.
Create long-distance clusters for maximum protection against physical disaster
SCSI and fibre channel restrictions limit the distance between nodes and the protection you can implement against disasters because each MSCS cluster node must be connected to a shared storage device. By doing away with the shared-storage requirement, GeoCluster lets you connect as many as eight nodes over long distances, by removing the shared-storage requirement. GeoCluster allows you to maintain your level of high availability while also achieving the level of disaster protection - and the peace of mind - your business requires.
Count on full support for applications - and for Window Server 2003
GeoCluster supports all MSCS cluster-aware applications because MSCS still handles application monitoring and failover. GeoCluster is ideal for Exchange, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or any other application with a highly available data requirement (application must be cluster aware).
Built on Double-Take patented replication technology - the best in the business
GeoCluster is driven by Double-Take replication engine - the same replication technology implemented by a large percentage of Fortune 500 companies and chosen by Dell and Hewlett Packard for their own customers business continuity needs.
