Pinnacle Business Systems has partnered with Topio, a NetApp Strategic Partner, to bring innovative software to our customers helping them replicate, recover, and protect data over any distance regardless of the underlying server or storage infrastructure. The combination of Topio software and NetApp® proven data management solutions will enable enterprises to safely, reliably, and nondisruptively replicate their production data on any vendor system-including EMC, HP, or HDS-to any NetApp storage system. The joint capabilities of Topio and NetApp deliver a broad range of solutions spanning data protection, data migration, and data cloning. Worldwide, companies of all sizes depend on Topio for DR, backup consolidation and data migration and continuous data sharing. Topio is headquartered in Santa Clara, California and brings its solutions to market through a combination of global partners.
ReplicatorX
A comprehensive replication and recovery solution for heterogeneous storage and server infrastructures.
ReplicatorX is enterprise-class software for data replication and recovery and continuous data sharing across the range of locations, platforms, and storage systems. ReplicatorX can be used for disaster recovery (DR), for SAN data migration, and for nondisruptive replication of production data to secondary storage to support cloning for production support applications like development and testing. ReplicatorX can near-synchronously replicate block data over any distance, across heterogeneous infrastructures, without the operational disruption incurred by traditional alternatives. This means that you can rapidly recover an up-to-the-second image of data that is 100% consistent with the production data.
Near synchronous replication with enterprise-wide data consistency
ReplicatorX can support recovery point objectives (RPOs) in milliseconds. It incorporates adaptive data reduction and compression capabilities, optimizing bandwidth utilization. ReplicatorX can also provide data consistency across multiple fabric nodes, leveraging its advanced clock-synchronization technology. This capability addresses the requirements for data consistency across volumes and across fabric nodes, and for seamlessly dealing with volumes used in conjunction with multipathing software.
Scalable Performance and Management
ReplicatorX is unique in that all the "heavy lifting" of replication is located at the remote site, rather than at the primary site. As a result, ReplicatorX at the primary site is extremely lightweight to avoid affecting production applications. ReplicatorX provides centralized visibility and control of all replication sessions, within a robust control framework. Administrators can quickly define policies, delegate access, and manage environments at any level, from one volume to an entire geography.
Unified and Tiered Disaster Recovery
ReplicatorX can replicate data from any primary storage to a NetApp storage system, enabling enterprise users with mixed storage environments to unify their disaster recovery environment on NetApp storage platforms that are reliable, cost-effective, and easy to deploy and manage. In addition, with NetApp, the data at the disaster recovery site can be leveraged for active business use, and customers no longer have to view their DR investments as insurance alone.
Cloning for Production Support Applications
With ReplicatorX, DBAs can nondisruptively replicate production data from any storage to NetApp storage, and take advantage of the unique NetApp FlexCloneT technology, which allows customers to near-instantaneously create multiple clones of data without any additional storage requirements. An average enterprise creates and stores anywhere between 10 and 20 copies of data for a variety of uses such as application development and testing, so the storage and time savings resulting from the use of FlexClone technology add up to significant economic benefits to any enterprise.
