Employee Spotlight:
Cheryl O’Bannon
Meet Cheryl O’Bannon, one of Pinnacle’s awesome Senior Account Executives! Cheryl’s role is to understand her customer’s goals and business challenges and determine the need for technology to support their business outcomes.

How long have you worked at Pinnacle and why did you choose to work here?
I joined Pinnacle in January 2016. My entire career has been on the manufacturer side, so I had the opportunity to work with most of the Resellers in this region. Pinnacle was my first choice for many reasons. Pinnacle is an Oklahoma-based company, and I was always impressed by the commitment to their customers. The investment in the technical and PMP organization sets Pinnacle apart. Our Executive Staff has created a family environment that makes it a fun place to work. I have a great respect my colleagues and enjoy coming to work every day.
Why did you choose the IT industry?
My first job out of college was in sales with an IT company. It is a fascinating, fast-paced, and at times humbling business. I get to work with some incredibly smart, technical and dedicated people.
What are a few of your hobbies?
Spending time with family & friends, being a Mom, working out, cooking and traveling to new places and experiencing new things.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
I was taking a call from my car with a customer, and when it was over I dropped the phone on my passenger seat. I love music and started singing loudly (and badly) to the song that was playing in my car. What I didn’t know is that when I dropped my phone it redialed my customer. They answered my call in their conference room on speaker. A very embarrassing moment, but my customer was entertained and has never invited me to karaoke.
What are you known for?
I hope I am known from a business perspective for having a strong work-ethic, compassionate heart, and a positive and optimistic viewpoint.
What’s the number one most played song on your iPod?
“The Fighter” by Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. I love music – could not live without it.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see and why?
I would love to meet Jesus at the Sermon on the Mount and have a long talk!
What is one thing about you that would surprise people?
I have played the piano, violin, and clarinet.
What is your favorite mode of transportation, why?
I love the freedom of my car when traveling, but longer trips definitely traveling by plane.
