How long have you worked at Pinnacle and why did you choose to work here?

I came to Pinnacle in July 2000!  I was working at Fleming Companies and was a customer of Pinnacle when I decided to leave. Martin McNeese, the founder of Pinnacle, asked me to join and help him grow the company because of my experience in mergers and acquisitions at Fleming.  He also wanted me to be his exit strategy when he retired, which he did in 2003.

Before working at Pinnacle, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

After playing football, I worked as a Traction Orderly at Fresno Community Hospital during college. I also spent some time in Houston building the Marathon Oil Tower!

How do you balance your career at Pinnacle and family? 

I try very hard not to bring my work home. I work hard at work and play hard away. Our family has been blessed to take vacations nearly every year since my girls were babies. 

What three traits define you?  

Trustworthy, Passionate and Loyal!

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

First base for the Chicago Cubs and play against the St. Louis Cardinals.

What is one thing about you that would surprise people? 

I love to grow my own herbs and vegetables to cook with and I make my own bread.

What do you like to do in your spare time? 

Golf, scuba dive and attend sporting events.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why? 

I loved Italy! It is the one country I have been to that I think I could live if I ever moved out of the US. I love the culture and the people there.

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years? 

I’m hard on myself so I’m hard on others. I try every day to be more understanding of that.

How do you define success?

Give everything your best effort in life, work, and whatever your belief system is and you won’t have any regrets.
