How long have you worked at Pinnacle and why did you choose to work here?
I have been at Pinnacle since February 2017. I had met Rob Anderson about thirteen years ago and I had met Charles Moore and Amber Lawhun when VSS was considering a merger with Pinnacle. We all got along very well, and I knew that David Traxler had a great friendship with Rob and trusted him, so that made the decision for me very easy!
What is the best thing about your job?
Keeping up with the latest technology trends.
What are three traits that define you?
A very diverse IT background… I have worked for several Business Partners, owned my own Business in IT, worked for Secondary Education, and also spent time at a Fortune 250 Company. I believe that I have great empathy for a Customer’s perspective and the problems that they face because I have likely been in their shoes on occasion myself. That allows me to be creative with ways to help craft a solution for them. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to communicate with both Management level and System Admins in a company to ensure that both sides needs are addressed.
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Pay my tithing to the Church, then I would pay off all of my extended families’ bills.
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
There are two that are hard to separate, I love to fly and I love LSU Football!!
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to be fluent in a few foreign languages, maybe Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin. That would make it easier to expand beyond domestic deals.
What chores do you absolutely hate doing?
If you ask my wife and kids, it would be cleaning up after our dogs… Too many “accidents” in the house!
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I used to be able to say resoundingly “Steak, baked potato, salad, good bread.” That was before I turned 50… 🙂 No, that’s still THE MEAL for me!
What is the song title that best describes your personality?
That’s easy, Zac Brown Band, “No Hurry”
What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Keep moving along, it will DEFINITELY get better…
What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?
Never stop learning your craft!
