NETWORK ENGINEER

Job Summary

Pinnacle Business Systems is currently hiring an experienced Network Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate strong in:

• Security; including firewalls & VPN (Cisco ASA, Firepower, Palo Alto and/or Fortinet expertise)
• BGP routing protocol
• Enterprise Networking, including Nexus
• Wireless
• Multi-tenancy networking for managed services

Our Engineers are key contributors to our success here at Pinnacle Business Systems, a 2017 CRN SP500 and Inaugural CRN Triple Crown award winner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participates as network engineering representative for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of environments
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with solution architects on network optimization
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
• Updates skill expertise by participating in educational opportunities, in classroom, on-demand and self-study environments

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Pinnacles’ solution offerings are focused around the following core areas: Big Data & Advanced Analytics, Consumption-Based Computing, Advanced Automation, Security, Next-Generation Infrastructure and Software-Defined Solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Four-year college degree or formal training and certification related to job requirements; MIS major highly desired but not required
• Experience of 3+ years in related experience highlighted in responsibilities section
• Professional, creative and dynamic presence and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Desired

Installation and operation experience and expertise in a minimum of one of the following areas:

• Cisco ISE
• Collaboration (Communications Manager, CUBE)
• Load Balancer (F5 experience ideal)
